We’re delighted to introduce Carl Southwell of Chelsea FC Foundation as speaker at the 12th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference who will present the ”Entrepreneurship & Chelsea FC Business Challenge” practical session.
Your football club has just announced the signing of Lionel Messi. You will have been assigned the task of building a social media plan for the next 7 days for your club. You will need to think like a start-up, profile your fans, complete a social media plan and present your ideas. Can you use your creativity to maximise your clubs greatest ever signing? These activities form part of the start-up incubator for job seekers at Stamford Bridge. This workshop will give you an opportunity to experience part of their journey.
In short the practical session will give you the opportunity to:
- Learn about creating social media strategies
- Learn how to profile and engage fans
- Participate, share and have fun !
Carl Southwell – Chelsea FC
Carl Southwell is the Enterprise Manager for Chelsea FC Foundation and through his role he uses the power of sport to provide young people and adults the opportunity to gain the skills, qualifications and competencies for the modern-day workplace.
Carl has worked in sports foundations for the last the last ten years, including an education and teaching role Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
Over the past four years at Stamford Bridge, Carl has worked with over 4000 very early stage start-ups/job seekers looking to start their businesses as well as creating a 4 years start-up incubator for job seekers with a business idea. This then led to the development of a once a month business club called Edge of the Box Club, held at Stamford Bridge, to help start-ups across London.
