Desiree Almendares Skoldh, Elhan Guleid Abdi and Andrea Sjögren work within MFF in the Community with their social sustainability. They operate in education, integration and job opportunities to make Malmö a better city, with football as the driving force. Their roles are recruiter, project coordinator, and manager for our social initiatives.
At the EFDN Conference, Desiree Almendares Skoldh, Elhan Guleid Abdi and Andrea Sjögren’s presentation will be about “Give Racism the Red Card”. It is a impactful educational program for over 2,000 Malmö elementary students every year, merging football with human rights education from the CRC and Swedish Discrimination Act. Participants experience a unique highlight in their journey by making a public stand against racism on the football pitch and take part of an anti-racism themed summer tournament. This powerful program not only fosters a deep understanding of equality but also empowers children to champion diversity and effect societal change. Join MFF in the Community in empowering the next generation to embrace diversity and give racism the red card.
As their best CSR in Football moments, Desiree Almendares Skoldh, Elhan Guleid Abdi and Andrea Sjögren nominated:
- The Career Academy – matching job seekers in Malmö with MFF’s corporate partners.
- School Academies – At 18 middle schools in the Skåne region, MFF provides students with the opportunity to combine their passion for sports with their studies.
- Primary School Football Against Racism-The work begins in the classrooms, where discussions around racism take place, and culminates in a football tournament and a manifestation during games.
- The Team For Everyone – promoting local initiatives, and strengthening the relationship between children, youth, and community life. The goal is for all residents of Malmö, regardless of their background or level of interest in football, to feel pride in their city, neighbourhood, and Malmö FF.
