Dimosthenis Dimopoulos – Speaker at the 22nd EFDN Conference
Dimosthenis Dimopoulos, Project Consultant at the International Olympic Truce Centre, is a confirmed speaker at our 22nd EFDN #MoreThanFootball Conference in Leuven on the 20th of November 2024.
With over 11 years of experience as an analyst in International Relations, Strategy, and Geopolitics, Dimosthenis has specialized in the Post-Soviet space, Asia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. He has co-authored book chapters, journal articles, and op-eds, and provided expert insights on TV and radio shows. For the past year, he has been working with the International Olympic Truce Centre on projects promoting social inclusion, solidarity, sustainability, and peaceful conflict resolution through sport.
One of Dimosthenis’ most rewarding experiences in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was co-hosting seminars on intercommunity leadership for young refugees through sport. Collaborating with Olympic champions and partner organizations from Portugal, Spain, and Italy, the seminars inspired over 20 young refugees in Greece to become “Agents of Change.” These efforts focused on building capacity, fostering community engagement, promoting gender equality, and empowering individuals through sports-based initiatives.
