Dr. Jed Cohen, Ph.D. and Fabrizio Tavaroli from GREENFOOT Project at 14th EFDN Conference
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jed Cohen, Ph.D. and Fabrizio Tavaroli from GREENFOOT project, will both be presenting at our 14th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Online Conference.
Dr. Jed J. Cohen, Ph.D. is a Senior Expert and Project Leader at the Energy Institute who has extensive experience with large-scale research projects both in Europe and the USA. He served as manager for his postdoctoral research project “Solar Energy in West Virginia” out of West Virginia University, USA and is a WP leader on the H2020 project SMARTEES, task Leader for openENTRANCE, task leader for frESCO and coordinator of GREENFOOT. He is a well-published researcher in the field of Energy Economics, and, as a regular panelist, invited speaker and event organizer, he is a recognized expert on the energy decision-making processes of households, individuals, and businesses.
Fabrizio is a structural engineer working at RINA since 2003. He has been involved in many buildings-related projects with clients like local monasteries and the U.S. Air Force. He is an expert in energy efficiency in buildings and uses structural simulation analysis to assess potential upgrades in sport facilities as a part of the GREENFOOT project.
Energy savings in sports buildings: Involving fans and the community with the GREENFOOT concept
This is a two-part presentation. The first part will be given by Dr. Cohen, who will describe the innovative European project GREENFOOT, the crowdfunding concept behind the concept, and the motivation for football clubs to follow the project and implement its concept. The second part will be given by Fabrizio Tavaroli from RINA-C who will show the state-of-the-art energy savings technologies available for football buildings and how these can help clubs save money, improve local air quality, and present a sustainable corporate image.
