Eva Bari & Dani Taylor of Chelsea FC Foundation at 12th EFDN Conference
With the 12th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference now less 2 weeks away we continue our introductions to the speakers at the event by putting the spotlight on Eva Bari and Dani Taylor of Chelsea FC Foundation. Eva and Dani will present the safeguarding structure at Chelsea FC Foundation, explaining the application of their policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for those engaging with Chelsea FC.
This practical workshop will cover how the safeguarding structure at Chelsea FC Foundation and the ways in which they work to support all children, young people and adults at risk, to enable them to participate in football in a safe and stimulating way.
There will be case examples to demonstrate best practice in a football context and the session will also explore the robust policies and procedures in place that enable Chelsea FC (the Club and Foundation) to deliver high-quality services that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of their participants. As well as exploring the safeguarding structure and how they work to keep children and adults at risk safe, the workshop will also explain how colleagues report concerns and reporting lines within the Club.
Eva Bari – Chelsea FC
Eva Bari is a qualified social worker with frontline social work experience working in the field of looked aftercare, child protection and undertaking specialist assessments on behalf of the local authority and courts.
Previously, Eva has worked for the National Crime Agency CEOP Command in both international and UK contexts providing operational support as a Lead Child Protection Advisor. Eva is currently Head of Safeguarding at Chelsea Football Club, working alongside the Board members to implement a robust safeguarding structure based on legislation, guidance and best practice.
Dani Taylor – Chelsea FC
Dani Taylor is currently Safeguarding Manager at Chelsea football Club. Dani is a qualified social worker with frontline social work experience working in the field of assessment and child protection.
Dani has worked with law enforcement colleagues in preventative education for children and young people around the issues of child exploitation and abuse.
