Lin Wilson – Speaker at the 20th EFDN Conference
Lin Wilson, Senior Consultant at Upshot, is a confirmed speaker at our 20th EFDN ‘Making Football Matter’ Conference in Athens from the 13th until the 15th of November 2023.
While working for several years in corporate IT as a European marketing manager and then learning & development consultant, Lin spent 10 years as a volunteer football coach and community organiser. Since joining Upshot nearly 5 years ago she has enjoyed helping football clubs, trusts and leagues evidence the impact of their community work. A member of Women in Football, Lin also champions greater representation of women in all roles within the game.
Lin will present about ‘Evidencing and reporting on your impact: From local to global’ ‘during the League & FA meeting on Monday. In the crowded CSR/ESG space, how does football legitimately raise its voice to shout about the inspiring change it can make? With evidence, good governance, transparent reporting and an outcomes-focused approach? Let’s look at the journey: from the local participant expressing they feel more confident after playing football to increased engagement in the community for the club, to the league that can report the change they are making across their clubs to policymakers, governments and stakeholders who can improve our world – it can all start with the recording of a simple kick.
