One Month until 20th ‘Making Football Matter’ Conference in Athens!
In already one month we will kick off the 20th EFDN Conference (13-15 November) in Athens, Greece. The topic of this EFDN Conference will be ‘Making Football Matter’, which will take place at the OPAP Arena, the stadium of EFDN Member AEK Athens.
This event will be the next European gathering for our environmental, social and governance (ESG) network after the successful 19th EFDN Conference that took place in Seville in March 2023 and the Dutch ‘More than football’ conference this week in Utrecht.
EFDN Conferences bring a unique opportunity for ESG experts and newcomers into the ESG world to learn from each other and share their insights about topics such as fundraising in ESG, environmental sustainability, anti-discrimination, social inclusion, online safeguarding, physical activity in a younger and older population, or STEM education, among others. The format of the conference includes panels, breakout sessions, study visits and roundtables, and offers multiple chances to network and connect with other EFDN members and experts in the ESG in football.
The programme is already unveiled and we are happy to confirm the presence of clubs as Chicago Fire, Manchester City, River Plate and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Furthermore we are excited to see which club will walk away with the More than Football Award 2023. The winner of this prestigious award will we announced during the Gala Dinner at the Acropolis Museum!
We look forward to welcoming football organisations from across Europe to this exciting event. Together, we will continue to harness the power of football to make a positive impact on society. Let’s make football matter!
