PAOK Action at 12th EFDN Conference
Continuing with our introductions to the individual speakers at the 12th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference, we will now focus on Anastasios Papadopoulos and Lazaros Bachtsevanos of PAOK FC, who will present the PAOK Action / CSR strategy in the midst of Greece’s Socioeconomic crisis. PAOK Action is the name of the Programme, which delivers the community and social responsibility work of the club, one of the biggest CSR Departments in Greek football. Anastasios and Lazaros will speak about how the club contributes and supports society through football and sports, the club having been founded 93 years ago by Greek refugees who came from Constantinople to Thessaloniki.
PAOK Action’s CSR work includes supporting families with children that suffer from serious illness and are in need of help, organising special events to supporting dedicated causes with a wide range of issues and matters, helping with the integration and inclusion of refugees, among dealing with many more issues.
ANASTASIOS PAPADOPOULOS – PAOK FC
Anastasios Papadopoulos has been working at PAOK for the last 5 years as Marketing Project Manager & CSR Manager and is responsible for the club’s social responsibility. He has previously worked in Marketing Departments of many international companies like Dell Computers & Xerox before deciding to follow his dream and break into the sports industry.
LAZAROS BACHTSEVANOS – PAOK FC
Lazaros Bachtsevanos is a marketing specialist with extensive experience gained from working for 12 years at Adidas, with his last role as a Head of Brand Marketing of South-East Europe, before moving into his current role as PAOK’s Marketing & Commercial Director, where he has been working for the last 6 years.
