Peter Davidson, CEO of Montrose Community Trust, Will Present COVID-19 Community Response at 14th EFDN Conference
EFDN is pleased to announce another speaker for the 14th EFDN Conference: Peter Davidson. Mr. Davidson will be speaking about the Montrose Community Trust’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Montrose Community Trust engage with approximately 1400 people each and every week, tackling some of the key inequalities in our society. Many people enjoy participating in their programmes, whilst many also rely on them. Due to COVID-19, they were unable to deliver any of their traditional programmes, so they instead developed a Community Assist Scheme that supported those most disproportionally affected by the public health crisis. The initiative tackled hunger, physical and emotional wellbeing, social isolation and educational attainment amongst other essential services.
Peter Davidson is the Founder and Chief Executive of Montrose Community Trust, the charitable arm of Montrose Football Club, for whom he also assumes the role of Director. Peter has worked in the professional game, for Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and Dundee United FC, and was recently a Director of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). His passion however lies in CSR, and putting the power of football to good use in changing lives and communities.
