Phillip Smith – Speaker at the 19th EFDN Conference
Phillip Smith, a CEO at Northampton Town FC Community Trust, is a confirmed speaker at our 19th EFDN #Morethanfootball Conference in Seville from the 20th until the 22nd of March 2023.
Phillip Smith has been the CEO at Northampton Town FC Community Trust since 2017, leading the organization through a period of extensive growth. He has over a decade of experience across the community, sport, education, and health sectors with particular expertise in strategy, health and fundraising. He is passionate about using the power of sport and football to make a positive difference in the communities he’s worked in. Prior to his current role, Phillip worked for Leyton Orient Trust as Head of Health and Well-being where his work received both local and national recognition through the innovative approaches used to support the club’s fan base and wider community.
During the conference in Seville, Phillip Smith and James Hill will present their presentation called ‘Tackling Loneliness – EFDN More than Football Award’. Together with James, Phillip will be outlining the Northampton Town FC Community Trust Tackling Loneliness Project which has been shortlisted for the More Than Football Award. In addition to that, he will talk about how the project was delivered, who it supported and the impact it has, and continues to make, to reduce feelings of loneliness across the community.
