Save the Date for Barcelona
Now that the dust has settled from the 12th EFDN More than Football Conference and the More than Football Action Weeks has drawn to a close, its time to start thinking about the next EFDN Conference. The special 13th EFDN ‘CSR in European Football’ Conference will be held on the 19th and 20th of November 2019 and will mark the 5 year anniversary of EFDN and the 25 year anniversary of the Barça Foundation.
The conference will again include experts and leaders from the football CSR industry who will be presenting and discussing their innovative work, current and future trends and challenges. The 13th EFDN Conference will also be our biggest event to date with more than 200 representatives of European football clubs, leagues, football associations, governing bodies and other stakeholders in attendance.
The theme for the Conference in Barcelona is ‘CSR in European Football’ with a broader scope covering the whole spectrum of issues related to CSR in football. This will include topics such as match-fixing and integrity, stadium sustainability and accessibility, alongside the activities normally associated with football-related CSR.
More than Football Awards
The 13th EFDN Conference in Barcelona will also be the launch of the More than Football awards which will be handed out for the best CSR initiatives and projects in football throughout the year. While most of these awards will be for EFDN members only, there will be specific awards for the best campaigns and initiatives run during the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, which is open to any football organisation who wish to participate. A range of criteria will be used to assess the nominees including creativity and ingenuity, promotion and engagement, reach and impact realised, amongst many others
