UNDP to take part in panel on Sustainability Development Goals
We are delighted to officially confirm that Trygve Olfarnes, Deputy Director of UNDP’s Nordic Representation Office (NRO), will be participating in the panel discussion on Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) at the 10th EFDN Conference.
At the 10th EFDN Conference, Trygve will be representing the NRO in the panel on UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). The panel will explore and analyse how football, and sport in general, contributes to achieving the SDGs and creating a more peaceful, sustainable future for all. UNDP’s Nordic Representation Office
UNDP’s main Nordic Representation Office (NRO) is located in Copenhagen (Denmark). NRO also has offices in Oslo (Norway), Stockholm (Sweden) and Helsinki (Finland). It serves as a liaison and communication office, which works to share knowledge and raise awareness about UNDO’s mandate, work and results. NRO works both as a liaison office between UNDP’s headquarter in New York and the Nordic member states, and as a communication office which focuses on reaching the public through media, public events, presentations, field trips and cooperation with stakeholders, including civil society, private sector, and schools and research institutions.
Trygve Olfarnes
Trygve Olfarnes has worked for the United Nations for a number of years, most recently at UNDP’s Nordic Representation Office in Oslo (Norway), and previously in Panama, Mexico, United States and Uruguay. He has spent most of his career working with communication and advocacy, as well as programme management. He holds a Master’s degree in International Policy Studies and a BA in Spanish, comparative politics and social anthropology.
