Yuriy Svyrydov – Shakthar Social

Yuriy Svyrydov is involved in a variety of projects since 1995. Appointed as Director of Marketing and Communications department in FC Shakhtar from June 2011. Yuriy has established the first grassroots football project in Ukraine – “Come On, Let’s play!” in Donetsk from 2013. Throughout this period Yuriy committed to organize following social projects – “Come On, Let’s Play!” , “Young Coach Education Programme” in tandem with UEFA Foundation for Children and Football Club Social Alliance, “Changing lives through football” workshop with Feyenoord Rotterdam and the “Educational programme for coaches” in partnership with LaLiga. Yuriy promotes the development of grassroots football in Ukraine, making an impact to change the lives of children and within the community.

Shakhtar Social

Shakhtar Social is a foundation established by FC Shakhtar with a purpose to implement club’s social responsibility policy. Goals of Shakhtar Social are in line with the UN Sustainable Goals – ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, obtaining a quality education, promote gender equality and empowering opportunities for all women and girls. Major Activities of Shakhtar Social – health ( “Come On, Let’s Play!” project) , education ( “LaLiga Educational programme”) , gender equality ( Partnership with UNFPA Ukraine – United Nations Population Fund) , social inclusion ( “Come On, Let’s Play! project – Disability football) , charity (Assistance to the Ukrainian hospitals).
